Explosion-proof grouting machines are an essential part of modern mining work and the MAI®400EXgrouter offers user-friendly and safe operation in potentially dangerous environments.
Practically indestructible, high-performance grout pump
The mine-compliant design of the MAI®400EX grouter has various applications in potentially explosive atmospheres. Stainless steel and particularly robust hot-dip galvanised components guarantee a long service life and protection against damage.
The rugged steel frame stands up to the toughest conditions on the job site. The skid-mounted mixing pump for cementitious grout has been specially designed for the tough working environments often found in underground mining. The MAI®400EX is an explosion proof grouting machine.
For all its safety features, the MAI®400EX grouter does not compromise on performance. It will continuously mix and pump the widest range of mortar grouting materials from thin to thick consistencies.
The patented elements of innovative water injection, grout pump mixing and mixing blades guarantee a homogeneous mixing and processing quality (Patent No: WO 2004/080676 A1 and Patent No: EP 1 768 771 B1).
A design with multiple safety functions
Safety plays a crucial role in potentially explosive atmospheres such as coal mining and the MAI®400EX has been designed with multiple safety functions to ensure the highest level of safety in underground consolidation works.
For the first time, functional safety and ATEX approval are combined in one single grout pump, making this the safest injection system available on the market. It holds an ATEX94/9EG certificate for hazardous areas EX I M2 150°C.
Safety functions include a pressure relief button to prevent accidental injury, thermal water flow and pressure monitoring, a dry running and overheating safeguard, as well as the overall antistatic and flame resistant design.
Easy to use and easy to maintain
It is designed for speed cleaning thanks to the use of electrically conductive and impact-resistant MAI®CODUR synthetic materials. All components are easily accessible for operating, cleaning, and maintenance. MAI® guarantees unique mixing quality and new levels of cleaning convenience in a grout pump.
Operator controls are centrally located for efficient mortar production. The ESA (Electronic Service Assistant) prevents unnecessary downtime by constantly indicating the operating status. Save time and enable easy grouting with the simple replacement of the progressive cavity pump.
