Soil Nailing is a
technique used to reinforce and strengthen existing ground conditions of
slopes and battered cuttings. The MAI Soil & Rock Nail is used in
accordance with DIN 21521 and offers a rapid
and economical alternative to the traditional methods.
Some of the many advantages are listed
below:
It is in particular suitable for very difficult and unstable ground conditions, such as unconsolidated
sands, gravel’s or broken and fractured rock formations.
The installation method is for all ground conditions similar.
Being a Self Drilling Nailing System, there is no requirement for a primary drilling system, drilling and
installation are performed simultaneously.
Therefore the potential danger of collapsing boreholes is avoided.
Often the only solution for restricted access conditions and undeveloped regions.
The additional feature of simultaneously
drilling and grouting during installation allows loose ground
conditions to be consolidated at the same time.
