MAI® - Self Drilling Hollow Core Anchors provide the
optimal solution for nailing, bolting, micro piling and as ground anchors
in difficult ground and rock conditions. The self drilling anchor system
is manufactured with a cold deformed full length rolled thread as per
standard and acts as the drill rod during the drilling operation. Once
installed and grouted it converts into a very effective anchor. The use
of this technology has the advantage that there is no need for cased
drilling systems, which result in a simple installation method and
economical savings on the project. |

Normally the cuttings from the drill bit are
flushed out by the use of either air or water. With the use of the MAI®
- Rotary Injection Adapter the drilling and grouting is combined as a
single operation, thus reducing construction cycles and ensuring optimum
ground-/ grout bond within the borehole. |

All applications have in common:
- It is a fast method, because drilling, anchor installation and grouting
are performed in one single operation.
- It is a simple method, since no special drill techniques are required
and all commonly available drill rig units can be used.
- It is a economical method, since the danger of collapsing
boreholes is avoided and no drill casings are needed.
